Earth Day is fast approaching. Here at Glass Planet, we’re focused on helping the planet through small steps towards sustainability.
History:
Earth Week, April 16-22, originated in Philadelphia in 1970. It was created by a committee of students, professionals, and leaders of grassroots organizations, as well as businessmen concerned about the environment. This Earth-focused week was inspired by Senator Gaylord Nelson’s call for a national environmental teach-in. Since 1970 it has grown into an internationally celebrated event in more than 200 countries across the globe.
What is Earth Day?
